We believe that this is the best skill development program for players of all levels. There are 3 levels to the skill program that have measurable stages that you will need to pass. This program exposes you to your weaknesses and allows you to develop head turning finishing ability, shooting, ball handling, passing and defensive abilities. Skill Code is far more than just a day to day program; we also have what we call “The IQ Vault”. This is where you will find breakdowns from the world renowned basketball coaches to develop your basketball IQ and change the way you process the game. Cody Toppert, assistance coach at LSU, has coached at the NBA level and is currently one of the most respected assistant coaches in all of NCAA D1 Basketball. Cody is a basketball savant and will be providing several new videos each month for our members.

We’re known for transforming athleticism through programs like The Vert Code and The Speed Code, but this is our first program that is highly specific to basketball athleticism. This program is not only proven to transform your vertical jump, speed, agility and quickness, it also teaches you how to directly apply it in-games. The way this program blends on-court skill with athleticism development is truly revolutionary! The most beautiful thing about this program is that we do most of your athleticism development work on the court, intertwined with your skill work, which makes your training day extremely efficient and helps with durability and longevity by avoiding overtraining.

Weight room strength is great, but hooper strength is a totally different category. This program attacks 4 main tiers— 1. General Strength (weight room) 2. Farmer Strength (strength in various planes of motion aka awkward non-linear strength) 3. Sumo Strength (understanding how to use your leverage: moving actual people, being hit by people without moving, etc.) 4. Basketball Strength (learning how to hit, when to hit, and how to actually translate the first 3 tiers onto the court). This program is built to make you more physical on the court and is formatted to increase your durability and longevity. Oh did we mention that we have an entire portion for optimizing your conditioning? We incorporate a year round periodized conditioning program to get you into the best shape of your life so you can express your skills when it matters, without fatigue being an issue.

Cody Toppert is one of college basketball’s most sought after coaches. He has been a head coach in the G-League and has been a key part of NBA stars’ development, such as Devin Booker. A lot of PJF Performance’s biggest clients that are making hundreds of millions of dollars in the NBA started off unranked in high school. The moment that you look at the rankings and don’t see your name on the list can be a MAKE or BREAK day for athletes. You either quit because you feel like you’re too far behind, or you double down, train harder, train smarter and make every single person on that list pay for it.

Now, we also train a lot of players that are highly ranked. What does UNRANKED mean for our clients who are 5 star prospects in the top 25? It means that we need to train like we’re unranked because someone is coming for our spot. What does UNRANKED mean for our NBA players who have already made it big? Well, the rankings of the top 3 players in the world came out and your name wasn’t on that list— Make them pay.

Any basketball player looking to transform their game. We have NBA stars and 8 year old kids building their game on the UNRANKED academy. There are various levels to our programs, so regardless of your age and skill level we have programs for you!

The basketball athleticism code incorporates vertical jump (build your 1 foot and 2 foot jumping ability), speed development, quickness, agility, proprioception and more. The main difference between this program and vert code, is that we do most of our athleticism work on the court. This ensures that it transfers directly to the game at the highest level, but also helps with durability and longevity by ensuring that we don’t beat ourselves down on the court and then go add more plyometrics and agility on top of that. This helps “consolidate stress” by building plyos, agility and speed work into our skill session so that by the time we’re off the court all we need to do is make a pit stop in the weight room for our strength work.

We believe that this is the most scalable skill program we’ve ever witnessed. There’s skill code level 1, 2 and 3 and everyone will start at level 1. You will begin as “white belt” in shooting, ball handling, finishing and passing. You will then gradually work towards “black belt” status for each category. For example you’ll need to become a black belt in floaters, extension layups, runners and many other finishes in order to become a black belt finisher. Once you achieve black belt status for each category you then move on to level 2 of the skill code. You will need to become a black belt in level 1, level 2 and in level 3. Each level has objective measurements that you will need to pass in order to move on. This helps you expose your weaknesses and also drastically improves accountability because we turn skills training into a competitive game instead of just boring drills. Every time you step onto the floor you’re competing to get to the next level!

Access to a standard weight room with dumbbells, cable machine and a barbell is recommended. Optional additional items include PJF Extended Length Bands and weighted medicine balls. If you don’t have access to a weight room, you can still do all of skill code and basketball athleticism code with little to no equipment.

A lot of the program can be performed by yourself, however, we use small sided games that requires at least 1 other person to play against. We will give you various small sided games that involves 1v1, 2v2 and 3v3. Don’t panic if you can’t find gym partners, the majority of the skill program can be accomplished with no partner. Keep in mind that we need live play against real defenders if we want our skill work to transfer.
